Regardless of religious ideology, it is everyone's right to speak out or critize if there is something wrong with the political situation. Unfortunately this is not always the case. Example the church should have been vocal against Hitler during WWII. As should any religious group. This does not mean that any one religious group should dictate the terms of goverment in any country. There should be a separation of Church and State, which suppposedly the USA has but doesn't not really, as to often religious views cloud the political ones. People should be allowed to voice out against any goverment when that goverment is doing something that is not for the benefit of its people. The problem arises when different people, groups, or religious affiliations start to determine what is best for the people, since different people will have different views. For those who follow the most extreme traditional values of a Muslim society it is for the best that woman's rights be denied, for Christians it is for the best that the rights of those who do not agree example homosexuals, rights be denied. Many Christians want to advocate prayer in school, well while it may be possible to set a time for prayer in school so long as it is not defined as prayer through Jesus, so that the rights of the Hindu, Muslim, and other religious groups are not being denied, or infringed on, since most religous groups have prayer in one form or another the arguement that setting aside a minute for silent prayer would be acceptable, ok then, but what about Atheists? For them this would be saying they have to take time to pray according to their spiritual values, but there is no prayer for Atheists, so now their rights are being infringed upon. So church's will critisize the politics of the goverments, and like anyone else they have that right, but they shouldn't be allowed to determine the politics of a country.
