I think parents should most definitely insist that their children study. I want my kids to be very well educated. That is a must in society today and when they become adults as well so I not only insist that they study I insist that the excel in everything they do. I insist on sport and extracurricular activities as well. It is all for their better good.

Yes , I do because in life we do not always do things because we enjoy them but more becauses it is something that needs to be done . And them studying will only be for the better for them and in the long run does nothing to help the parents out so this is the parents wanting the most for thier children and showing them that hard work does pay off in the long run :)

I will stand over my kids with a whip to make them study if it keeps them from typing "u" and "r" for "you" and "are", or other lazy habits of language.
