$26 Million fort the poor?

Now that Mrs Clinton has raised $26 million in campaign funds, why don't the Democrats put their money where their intentions are? Campaign funds, from either political party, are the biggest waste of money on the planet. It mostly goes for media adds to cut down the opponents from the other party while telling us nothing but lies and misconceptions to make the candidate appear to be good. Since the Democrats are so ravingly mad about helping the poor, why don't they just give all this campaign money to help them so it doesn't go to waste? That way, they wouldn't have to tax the middle classes and the rich to subsidize the poor. And this goes for Republicans too! Any comments?
