are you a cat person, or a dog person?

personally i am a cat person, i have both a cat and a dog, but the dog came to me because my parents were moving and couldn't take him with them although i much prefer cats, i certainly couldn't see my parents dog being placed in a rescue centre, so i took him in. the reason i prefer cats, is because i find them to be more independant, and they don't need me all the time, a dog reminds me of a child, they need your time, companionship and constant walks! lol. which do you prefer?

Cats definitely. A dog is like having a 3 year old child for 14 years. A cat is like having a 14 year old child. They listen when you are in the room. My cats come when I call them by name. They don't know what kitty means and will look at you like you are stupid if you call them that. It is something I have done with cats the past 15 years. I wanted people to call them by name. I think it is why a lot of cats only come when they want to. They come every time. I have 3 cats. One of my cats will fetch and another has almost caught on.

Neither, although I like cats and dogs, and have had them both in the pstI have no interest in having one for a pet right now. I have fish, and am considering getting a small bird, just for the noise, but even though my grandkids say I need a puppy or kitty , I find that grandchildren are the best pets to have, because you get to send them home when you are done playing with them.
