A friend of mine told me about Bravenet (a site where you can host your website for free) and I have been looking for more information about it. Before considering using it I would like to know if you have used it and if you can give me some information about it good or bad.

In the past I have tried a lot of free host including Tripod, Angelfire, Geocities and Bravenet to host my website. Bravenet offers a pretty decent package. They are about the same as any free web host. Like any free web host there are limitations involved, so don't expect a lot of flexibility with them. With Bravenet, I found once my site become popular I was down quite a bit, but that is the same with any free webhost. If you have no html knowlege bravenet is the way to go.

A friend of mine used it a while back to host a forum on his website and it worked out quite well for whatever it was he wanted to do. No one who use it, had any problems with it, including him. It worked out quite nicely for his website.

I used bravenet and most free places available, specially when I was starting. I also used it when making pages to friends and some pages to keep in touch with family. It's easy to use and not too slow, but of course it has it's limitations as a free account. It works better for personal pages and stuff like that, so it really depends on what you want to do with it. It it is a business site, a free host doesn't look too professional so you should consider that as well.
