I never chug a lug as I have an aversion to bodily fluid.. yes I know it's weird, but any bodily fluid makes me cringe. So if I see anyone doing it, I will not drink that beverage again. My kids do not do this and my husband has learned to know better !!! I usually buy drinks in single serving bottles/containers/cans for this very reason. The only thing I buy in gallon form is Milk... which I do not drink anyway, so it doesn't matter. They don't drink out of the jug on that either because they know how crazy it makes me to see it !!

It is funny you should post this now. As I've been sick in bed for the past 3 days. On the floor next to my bed I have a gallon jug of water, gallon jug of orange juice, and a 2 litter bottle of Diet Pepsi. The only one I'm drinking from a glass is the Pepsi - the other two I just pick up and chug a lug.
My son came in my room yesterday as I was doing this with the orange juice and he yelled at me saying that was grouse and I am always telling him not to do that. I informed him this was my bottle and his was in the fridge - I had gotten two just for this purpose knowing I did not feel up to going to the kitchen every time I wanted or needed a drink.

I never chug from the jug, too many germs. I hate getting sick, and I tried to teach my children the same thing. I don't think they do it either. I grab a glass, if I'm that thirsty I keep bottles of cold water in the fridge too.

if i lived alone i probably would chug it occasionally though.
