the best way to manage your at work home while parenting??

I work online when my baby sleeps.I make him sleep besides me and then work during morning nap and aftrenoon sleep.My baby is 1 tyear old.I take care of him myself

I work at home, usually I do work at night after I put my toddler to bed. But there are days that I have to work during the daytime. I have to have a schedule and my cardinal rule is that, take care of my child's need first before I sit infront of my laptop and settled for work. If I start work in the morning, I make sure that my daughter is finish eating her breakfast, had change from her pajamas to her play clothes, hair comb, etc. Then around this time, her favorite program on tv comes on...so she settled in sofa and watch. When she began watching her program, I am preparing other activities for her, taking out her coloring books and colors, her favorites books, puzzle, etc. Coz sometimes, if the show is not that interesting, she gets bored and wants to do an activity. So when she goes to her room, she has everything ready. Then I start work. In between, I check if she wanted to go potty, wants a drink of water or interact with her, talking while am typing on my laptop. Then if I do work in the afternoon, I make sure that I take her out for a walk or to the playground even for 30 to 45 minutes...outdoors is good to get fresh air and she will not be cranky or disturb me so much if she has her chance to go outside. Schedule and routine is very important when you juggle working at home and taking care of kids. But I truly believe to take care of your child's need first because work can wait even for a few minutes.
