I've just notice Leonardo di Carpio's apperances on Martin Scorsese's* films. Is there any reason behind this more than Leo's talent? Just wanted to know if I missed something like Leo being Martin Scorsese's mentor or something.

I don't think so. I think Martin is like Woody Allen. If he likes working with an actor, he uses him again and again. Woody is so famous for this the actors that star in many of his films are called "the family".

In a recent interview about Leonardo's close ties with Martin Scorsese, Leonardo frankly said that he's the number fan of the brilliant director. His admiration to Martin started when he worked with him in the movie, "This Boy's Life", with actor Robert DeNiro. He became an immediate fan at an early age. He even said that he always loved to work with Martin since then. One reason is that they have a good time working together. And they have similar tastes in films. He considered Martin as his great mentor. As I would quote from that interview, Leonardo added, "He has broadened my spectrum as far as films that are out there, the history of cinema and its importance. It really brought me to different levels as an actor."
