Psychic Million Dollar Challenge

Has anyone heard of this challenge? Basically it is by a guy who is a magician. He is also a skeptic. He has put one million dollars on the line to anyone who can prove they have psychic abilites. There is a lot of controversy about it. Some say he will never come through with the money, while others say it is impossible to meet his challenge demands. I looked at his website and there is only one major thing that bothers me. He posts the applications and communications with applicants online for anyone to see. In some cases they want three noterized statements form professionals saying that a perosn has these abilities. Well, there are not a lot of professionals who would be willing to risk their reputation on signing a notorized statement. It seems to me that this may be the key to him never having to pay out that money. Nobody has ever been able to get those statements. Plus they do not require them of every applicant. The whole thing is kind of ridiculous. Skeptics argue that nobody has won it because psychic abilities do not exsisit. Psychic's say they do not want to waste their time proving themselves to this nobody. I just think the whole thing is one way for this guy to get PR. Has anyone here ever heard of this challenge? What's your thoughts?

Yes, I heard it on the Glenn Beck show when he had psychic John Edward on his show. I think the magician is The Amazing Randi and I like you believe he is doing this for publicity only.

Ive heard of him....he challenged sylvia brown and she hasnt gone to be tested..if i had the abilities i would try it...... see what happens..i know they tested Uri Gellar acouple of times..he did well on the remote viewing test. i think its all fasinating true or not..we all have this gut intuition..we just cant explain it but it seems to work when we need it..

I have not heard of this before. If he is so skeptical, then there will be many hurdles for an eventual winner to clear. Whether or not he actually ever pays, I'm sure that he wants publicity. Nobody throws a million dollars at something if they don't want to be noticed!

This is one of the major reasons i believe psychics to be frauds and actors. Noone ever took the challenge.
