Are games more and more interesting ?

I brought a ps2 five years ago. In the five years, I have played many games like FFX, GT4, MGS, ICO, etc. However, when I try to regain the excitement and laughter with the control, it seems impossible forever. There are too much information about games which makes me not keep patience to realize and enjoy a game. Do you know which is my favorite game? FF2 on FC. It took me almost 1 years. Is there any game worth so much time now?
