Tradition and The Bible

In the early centuries, before the Bible was formed Christians believed the teaching of the apostles and their disciples, as the basis of their faith, which the church calls "Holy Tradition". These tradition were not human customs mentioned in Matt 15:3,6-9, that were observed by Pharisees, but they were accepted as guided by the Holy Spirit. In fact, the word such as ZBible" Purgatory, Trinity and assumption are all coming from these early Christian traditions! Later, when the Bible came, it defended those traditions. 2Thess 2:15 "So then, brethen, stand firmand hold to the traditions which you were taught wether by the word of the mouth or by letter from us" 1Cor. 11:2 "Now I praise you because you remember me in evrything, and hold firmly to the tradition just as I delivered them to you".

I disagree with your views."Stand firm and hold on to those truths which we taught you, both in our preaching and in our letter."Paul is saying both in our preaching and in our letter does not say tradition. It is actually telling the faithful to believe in what they {the apostles] are teaching in preaching and in letters."I praise you because you allways remember me and follow the teachings that ihave handed on to you."There is no mention of tradition there.I'll tell you traditions are made by man,the teachings of the apostles are made by God.Please read your bible again.

Hi femme_run!(",) It sounds that you are a very religious person. All I can say is that hold on to your faith. I believe that no religion or denomination or whatever you call it can save a person.(",) Only if you believed and accepted Christ Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour, then you can be save. It's not even in good works so that nobody can boast. I think that the Bible is there to guide us, instruct us and even rebuke us. Bible is inspired by God though others believed that its just man-made. Well, everyone has its own right what to believe. The important thing is that you have a certain grasp of godly, heavenly thing in your life. You have something to believe into and practice while you are here on earth. Have a great day!(",)
