Did you know there's a private military company the government uses?

I had no clue about Private Military Companies or PMC's as they are referred to. One of the biggest is Blackwater. Blackwater trains, usually former military militia, with special training enhanced to tackle specific terrains, situations, etc. The U.S. government actually uses these private militaries to enhance our own abilities in war, CIA and other areas that are needed.
A lot of people are all up in arms about them, saying how horrible. I for one applaud them. These are specialty camps that produce stellar soldiers. It's about time we train ALL of our soldiers like this instead of putting them out there up against other terrorist groups that have this specialty training camp available to them also in their own country!
If you're interested, check out information about the PMC's, especially Blackwater, on You Tube!!! One of the videos is shot by South Korean television to make it look like it's so horrible. I find it refreshing to know we at least have a handful of companies in there that are truly trained that well, even if they're NOT officially "government" trained.

I have never heard of any such organizations and think it is great that we have special type forces. We need all the help we can to keep our country safe.

A lot of people are upset because technically these are NOT government military forces. While most are former military or former police, they aren't technically "endorsed" by the government but end up doing what the government can't seem to get done. OR a lot of times the government uses these places to actually train their own agents. Sad that they can't do it themselves with all the money they waste already!
I personally love that we have this option. I had never heard of it before but a recent posting on YouTube, actually FROM the organization along with some postings from news programs trying to make it seem like a bad thing has brought it to the attention of many.

I think its BS while the government dumps tons of money into these groups are "real soldiers" get little pay and most of the time cant get the equipment they need. We have people in Iraq and their families are going broke sending them the basic supplies they need to fight a war while its dumpings so much money to these mercanaries who dont abide by any rules or law and represent us in a bad way. $320 million to these guys while people who shop at pharmacies are donating sanitizers to our troops. Why dont our troops have the things they need instead of giving these guys $320 mil from June of 2004 to August of 2006. Thats over 12 million dollars a month. This is just what they have earned that has been public records I am sure the real number they have paid them in equipment and etc is probly alot larger. We have stellar soldiers when will we have stellar support instead of cutting combat pay and benefits to our real troops.

Couldn't agree more that our government sucks at creating and giving the soldiers the training and equipment to be "stellar". Perhaps it's time the government handed over ALL of our troops to these private companies? Maybe we'd see better results, better equipment and better spending of our tax dollars!

Yes, we have that in Singapore too. Not blackwater but other companies. And the government uses more than one of these private military companies. It's just out of simple necessity since there isn't enough police to enforce sufficient terror on the country. :P

I didn't realize other countries do it also! I guess I was completely oblivious to it all. I saw that Germany has many also.
