I think fast food are cheaper, thinking of the McDonald's dollar menu and similar fares offered by Burger King and Wendy's. Healthy food are more expensive, like organic fruits and vegetables cost about $1.00 more than the non-organic ones. Those whole-grain/ whole-wheat bread are also pricier than regular bread. I think adding healthier ingredients give manufacturers/producers the privilege of overpricing their goods. Whole Foods and Trader Joe's items are definitely more expensive than most items you find in "regular" groceries.
