Single parent

How many of you are a product of a single parent. I am 42 today and I have 2 elder brothers and 2 younger sisters. My mother passed away when I was 7 and my father single handedly reared all of us. today he is no more but when I think back I understand what a herculean task it was to do that.
How many of you have had a single parent who has fought against all odds and given you a life?

I also am the product of a single parent.My father passed when i was the age of 7,I have a sister who was 4 years older than me.there was nothing my mother would not do to keep us together as a family,She worked and scrimped to feed and cloth us, We didnt always have the good things in life but we had food in our bellys and clothes on our backs.
I really didnt understand it all untill I became a parent,than I began to see what all my mother went thru because she loved us.
