Well, they don't just say that wrestlemania is the event of the year for nothing.
They mean it!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know because I just watched it all, and let me tell you the matches were awesome, especially the main event, John cena vs. HBK, but let's not go there just yet.
It started out with the money in the bank match. Edge, Randy Orton, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Finlay, Mr. Kennedy, King booker, CM punk. This match was awesome, with everyone's signature moves magnified, wrestlemania style, you'll know what i mean when you see it. Anyway, Kennedy got the final prize, a few of the guys busted open, and edge had to leave in the middle on a stretcher after jeff hardy did his signature move off of a ladder onto edge who was lying on a ladder that snapped into half on impact.(unbelievable!!)
Kane vs. Khali- Well, an okay match, khali won but I the only thing i saw that was impressive was when Kane picked the 420 pound Khali and slammed him in the ring, that has never happened before.
MVP vs. Chris Benoit- No surprises here, Benoit took the gold back with him, although MVP dominated most of the match.
The originals vs. the new breed(ECW)- well, not a very interesting match, sabu, RVD, sandman, and tommy dreamer were in the originals and some losers were the new breed and when i say losers i mean it, cuz they lost.
Batista vs.Undertaker- Awesome match!!!!!!Well, batista dominated most of the match and really battered the phenom but the undertaker has never lost at wrestlemania and he didn't this time either, he's the new world heavy weight champion!!!!!Melina vs. Ashley- The first ever lumberjill match, well melina won and that's all i have to say.
The battle of the billionaires:hair vs. hair- Umaga vs. Bobby Lashley- mcmahon vs. trump. this match, especially the ending, were fabulous, trump taking a few jabs at vince, that was a sight rarely seen. Of course, not to forget, stone cold was the referee of this one, and of course he intervened, but not of his own will, he had to, you'll know when you see it. Well anyway, long story short, vince got a new look, no surprises as lashley won it for trump, with some help, but what was really awesome was when austin pulled a stone cold stunner on the trump at the end of it all, yeah, no one's safe from the texan rattlesnake after he's got a few beers in him.
John cena vs. Shawn Michaels: Well where can I even start with this one? A true main event. The best match of the evening. Don't even know where to start with this one, so I'll just start at the beginning. Because that was awesome too, John's(yes, I'm on first name basis with him, ha ha) entrance was awesome, he drove inside from the streets outside in a black mustang with yellow stripes along it's body, beautiful. And what awesome driving that was!! And then he crashed through the wrestlemania glass with it. and then his music played.
I was gnawing at my teeth all through this match, it lasted a good long 25 minutes or so and was entertaining to the core, Michaels dominated most of it, he was quick and punishing, and even shook off a three-count after the FU, that's never happened before, and John also came out of a three- count after some sweet chin music, imagine that, and then when both were exhausted, john tangled michaels in the STFU and yes, Shawn had to tap out, so that's one more in his list of STFU tap outs, along with edge and HHH, I love HBK and yet I was cheering for John all along, in the end they both parted with respect in their eyes for each other as both had shown incredible skills and challenged each other to the extent and the night closed off as john gave the salute to shawn as he walked away from the ring to the lockers.
And that, people, is how wrestlemania 23 ended. What an event, a night of firsts, of things happening for the first time, I'm so glad because everyone that I was rooting for actually won, especially the taker and cena.

I am actually disappointed, I got all the results correct except for the Khali one on which I was tipping Kane to win with his experience. WWE's history of surprising me with unpredictable results is over :), so I am a bit disappointed.
Cheers!

I must admit that the Kane match was dissappointing in my opinion, thought big red would have had him easily.
Ah well.....

So, basically you're upset because you got it right?
Most people would enjoy that, but did you watch it, because if you did then I don't see how the results would matter that much, because it was just so interesting to watch and besides, most of the same guys will have rematches for sure.

WrestleMania was, always, the Grandaddy of all wrestling PPVs!
I think the Taker match should have been last as in my eyes that was THE Main Event, with his winning streak on the line again....and he's the champ again, awesome news!
Battle of the Billionaires was cool too, and it was great to see the end of the "McMane"...go baldy! Was good to see Stone Cold deliver justice to Trump too.
The other matches were ok, but those two were the best in my opinion.

Wow, from the way this discussion is going, i do feel the need to watch WM23! I guess correctly, that the phenom would win over batista. And Cena-HBK sure sounds like one of those nail biting back and forth classics of old. Too bad i don't have cable where i work. I have to find some way to catch it then.

Yeah, most people think that cena vs. hbk shouldn't have been the main event but I beg to differ, it was really intriguing and the highlight of the whole wrestlemania, of course the phenom match was amazing too. Well, you better catch the DVD as soon as it's released, this is one not to be missed.
