Oh I wish I could help you out there as I suffer from them also and they are not much fun. The only thing I have found to help is a medication called 'nurofen migraine' they don't get rid of it completely but I am still able to go about my daily routine. I am from Australia so I'm not sure if you would have 'nurofen migraine' there. In saying that, different things work for different people. Another medication that supposedly works wonders is 'imogran'(think that is how it's spelt) though it didn't work for me.

Your welcome, just remember to take it at the very first sign of any migraine for it to have maximum effect. hope it works

Please ensure that your husband has seeked medical help for this as I know myself how horrible it can be. Mine seem to all come at once and then I am fine for months. Anyway, the last time I had one it lasted for five days and only ended when I drank a cup or two of very milky sugary tea. Why that worked I can not tell you for sure but I have heard that when you have a migraine the lining of your stomache is destroyed and that is why alot of people get it when they have went without food for a while. It also explains why painkillers have no effect unless taken at the very first signs of a migraine. Once this lining has gone then the painkillers cannot be absorbed. It is common knowledge that milk can create a lining on the stomache which then inturn will ease the migraine. Tea has been used for medicinal purposes for centuries. WHy I personally do not know but it can't do nay harm for him to try it. I am not a regular tea drinker I must point out. It was my mother that recommended trying it as that is what she does when she feels one comming on. After 5 days of migraine, 10 minutes after having 2 cups of tea it was gone and now when I feel it coming I have a cup. I often lie with my head under the covers, vomit, blurred vision, sometimes blindness they are so bad and tea is the only thing that has been noticably effective. Good luck and please let me know how he gets on.
