What are the best deals you've gotten at garage sales?

love love love garage sales but i think my best buy to date was last year this girl was moving away and has everything in her house for sale i was milling around and i had bought some books and stuff but the sale was winding down and her boyfriend comes out and says oh Jen you forgot about the table and chairs I said table and chair and she said yeah why you interested i said sure she said go look..sure enough a wood table oak with 4 chairs and a leaf she said oh take it for 20 bucks !!! i swear i would have carried it home on my back for that price..it had a few nicks..we did it over and it looks fabulous and everyone comments on it in the dining room..for sure it was my best buy..but i have a Tiffany brooch i found and bought for 25 cents too i need to get it appraised so that might prove to be worth something too we shall see Cheryl

I get a lot of good deals at garage sales. I like to buy things relaed to my hobbies and sometimes I find a steal to sell on ebay. Also, garage sales are great places to find things for the grandkids. They outgrow and break things so quickly that I don't mind paying a quarter or two...
