if you should decide to visit cebu for a vacation, please do visit this wonderful island off the northern part of the province. It is just like boracay with its pristine water and fine white sands, but with lesser commercialism and noise. You could go there and enjoy the sunlight and the beach in the day, and the moonlight and the sound of the waves at night. The people from the island are very friendly. You could also catch the fishermen when they arrive early in the morning and buy their catch at the price you want (please dont go cheap with them). You can have your fish broiled while you go for an early swim. The last time we were there, we were invited by someone who own a resort, but we ended up sleeping along the shore under the tent we brought. That's how fine the sand was when we got a really good sleep and not ending up with sore backs.

hi! when you get to cebu, you can opt to take the bus or v-hire to maya. then you take the ferry to the island. the bus/v-hire ride usually take 2-3hours, and the ferry ride is about 30-45minutes.

malapascua is really a nice island. If you were able to tour the island, you could see beaches which is more beautiful than where most resorts is located in the island. People are really friendly in this island. I have asked many villager about any trouble but they always answer me that it never happens once.

oh, i agree with you! the beauty of the island is in that place that is seldom explored. should anyone plane to go there, remember to take the boat ride to the back of the island. it is almost like a virgin beach, one that has not been touched by comercialism and vandalism...

I would love to visit that island someday! I've heard a lot of good things about it. My husband is certified beach nut and would also love it. :)
