I did some shopping at Vons Market today and I noticed that it was quite dem in there. There hast to be a reason for this and I was wondering if anyone knew what it could be.
I learned recently, that there are a lot of different things in the grocery store that are set up the way that they are for a reason. For instance, companies pay big money to have their products put in places where the customer is more likely to see it.
I always assumed that the store itself decided how things would be shelved. We all know about the impulse buying items in the front where the check-out stands are. Then, there are the things that are in the middle of the isle, mostly in the way and seemingly temporary, you couldn't be paid to miss these.
So, I was just curious to know if there was a reason why a store in a very wealthy neighborhood, like Santa Monica, could not afford to have better lighting. I don't remember it being like that the last time I shopped there.
