littlefrancisca, for me there is nothing wrong about women and men living together without being married. Both as in a romantic relationship, or just as roommates.
Marriage is nothing more than a paper, and the way things are nowadays that piece of paper seems to be worthless more often than not.
Regardless of where or how they got married - church, justice of peace or any other formal ways to officially marriage, the fact is that divorce keeps growing each day.
In any case, there are many things that I worry about being right or wrong = cruelty, abuse, violence, irresponsibility, dishonesty, .. the list is huge.
A man and a woman living together without being married? Not even on the list. They are not harming anyone and it's their decision and their lives.

As I say..I am staying neutral..am merely intested in seeing the common opinion on mylot.. I don't wish to express mine ..or use mine as a menas for judging others..All judgement belongs to God alone:)+

I do not see a problem with it as long as they get along well and do not try and force the other person into doing something they do not want to do. Me and my ex girlfriend lived together for a month and then broke up because we did not get along well. Her personality changed a lot after she had moved in with me. This was two years ago. I know there have been many wonderful roommate situations where men and women live together. I would do it again if it were to happen but would try and get to know the person better before doing so.

I agree..try to know each other first.. I can't imagine anyone having trouble getting along with your Ken..You are so easy to get along with and seem to be caring and understanding;)+

I dont have a problem with men and women living together as roomates or not being married.
If this would of been years ago, people would of talked. But as the years went by, you see people living together all the time as roomates andwithout being married. I see nothing wrong with it.

I think people need to realise that it's now 2007 - it's not the old times like when our parents were our age, a lot of things have changed since then.
My partner & i have been together for almost 9 years, living together for a 8 years & just last year had a baby - we're not married! Things are just different for different people.
A lot of religious people will argue it's a sin but not everyone's religious so you just have to decide what's right for you!

You are right..not everyone is religious..
What a pretty baby..what's your baby's name?
I respect your opinion and am glad you realize there are many opinions and do not judge those who are different then you either;)+

I am very open minded so I see no problem with it. If they are consenting adults, then by all means.

hard to say it is right or not.according to what I know, all my classmates, after graduation, marriage is due to them, but their finacial is so bad that they have not enough money to buy house and other necessary furniture to have marriage, what is more, wedding will spend a lot of money.under this conditon, marriage is not possible,if they live in a same city, renting is also a big sun of money,so living together maybe a economical method.

I agree...sharing a house or an apartment often helps offset the financial pressures facing young couples. and living together before marriage can be seen as one way of coping with financial problems;)+
