I'm not really a fan of American Idol but I can't say I don't like it either. I like any singing contest, so American Idol is my cup of tea.
The other day, I talked to a friend and mentioned to him that I love the "Dream Girls" not only for its drama but also for the powerful voice of Jennifer Hudson, who is of course an American Idol winner. He then asked me. "You watch American Idol? That's a waste of time!" I asked him what he meant by that. He told me that everything is staged from the start. I told him that's it's supposed to be a reality show, a contest, right? He told me that it's fake. Is he telling the truth? What do you think?

It's not that a singer or fake or something, it's more like the show is fake. Like there's no contest really, they already aranged everything and have the winner form the start no matter what happens....

Oh you children...your friend did that mean to say the the singers are fake, he was trying to say that the SHOW is fake. It claims to be a reality show but it's all staged. It's very obvious. From the ridiculous and often over the top people that audition, to the comments by the judges. This show is just an avenue to bring in new talent, pump them up, get all of your kids to create a buzz about them, then making them singing "stars" by "voting", then having you go out and buy their music. So wake up kids and don't let them distract you with shiny objects while they reach into your (parents) wallets and take your money.
