I think getting married is necessary to give a valid name to a relationship. If one is willing to carry on for life with a partner then whats wrong with getting married. You give a legal name to your child and also to your wife incase of some mishappening.

Even though marriage is not a compulsion, decency is very important and i believe that decency will make anyone of marriageable age who decides to settle down should do things properly as supposed. What's the need living together without any commitment? Marriage is a commitment that the two make up their minds to keep because of their professed love for each other. If that person loves you enough to share the rest of his life with you then let his do it properly with witnesses attesting to it and sharing his joys. Thanks.

I suppose that issue depends on the person. After all, morality is relative, and what seems wrong to one is perfectly fine with another. That said, in my opinion, there's nothing wrong with living together outside of marriage, nor is there anything wrong with being married and living together. They both have their pros and cons. For example, my boyfriend and I live together "in sin" (a Christian phrase that I find amusing). We enjoy some of the perks that a married couple might, minus the tax exemptions and legal stuff. We're both happy with the situation, and could probably live like this forever, if we wanted to. However, we both have a desire to get married, so that idea is out. In the end, it's up to the people involved.
