EXAM Dillema!! Pls Decide.

During my last semester in college, our ethics class had only a few questions put out for the exam. One very haunting dillema/situation that made me and some of my friends argue until today was this situation: Suppose you rush a pregnant relative, possibly labouring, to a hospital because she passed-out after complaining about chest pains and headache. After quick and crucial discussions, the doctors concluded that there are only two options: 1)Save the child inside, but this would mean the death of the mother.. 2) Save the life of the mother and lose the baby. Because she has no husband and her parents were dead, you are the only close relative around and decision has to be mad quickly. Who will you save?? The mother, or the child??
