in todays time alot of times it is scarey to meet your neighors and such. i lived in dallas and most of me nieghbors there had issues and we learned not to be around them and keep an eye on the kids. since we moved here though my neighbors have been great. we have cookouts and holidays togehter everything. i know when i was a kid we knew and met all of our neighbors when we moved into a new place they came over to welcome us and etc but now no one seems to do that. i do it here but in dallas i didnt. i guess it goes with where you live too. i was just wondering how many people know who they live next to. if when someone new moves in do you go over and introduce yourself. do you do it to be friendly or nosy lol? i do it to be friendly and to make sure they are not completely weirdos cause i have kids.

I personally know everybody on my street and actually know almost everybody in our town. It's a small town and I've lived here since 1980 and in this house on this street since 1987.My two next door neighbors are very close friend of mine.

where I live we don't really have neighbours. the houses aren't in rows, just sort of dotted about. so the people I consider to be my neighbours, their house is actually on the main road of the village, ours on one of the little side roads. there aren't road names or numbers. anyway, the people I think of as my neighbours, they're the ones whose land joins on to ours. we usually talk in one or anothers gardens. one of them gave me her car. I was gobsmacked. but it's a good car.
