I hear pinoys anxious to eat Filipino foods when they go abroad. But many of us here who could not afford to go abroad want to leave the Philippines to experience what are in other countries like foods. I think our country is really better than others, that is including foods. Yes we have many yummy foods here and the delicious fruits. Better come back to the Philippines lol!

I can relate. We have some Filipino restaurants in North New Jersey, USA but they're concentrated in one area, which is quite a drive from the town I live in. They're not the same, though. And the one thing that I miss most are the mangoes. The Chinese, Mexican and Latin American mangoes pale in comparison to ours. This is making me hungry...

dont know yet if there's a filipino restaurant here, i can say its hard to find some ingredients for some of our native dishes. there's brazilian mangoes here and your right nothing taste better than our philippine mangoes. I'm craving now in some of our local fruits lol lanzones, rambutan, durian, pinya!!

There's also pork's blood(dinuguan), deboned fish-marinated in vinegar(kinilaw), sizzling sisig(roasted pig's head marinated and seasoned with calamansi, chillis and soysauce), and lechon(roasted pig.. I hope that won't get mad at me for putting this deliciously succulent filipino dishes here in your post, as I'm sure you do miss it!;) LoL
