I haven't had a chance to try this one, but a friend sent it to me and swears that it works.
When you have poison ivy or some other type of skin irritation, cover the blemish with a dab of honey and place a bandaid over it. Honey kills the bacteria, and keeps the skin sterile, and speeds healing. This supposedly works overnight.

Wow! I love this tip. I'd not thought about using it for a face mask, but I guess if it works on blemishes, why not? We use it mostly for poison ivy and irritations on the arms and legs. I did use it for ant bites on me toes once.

Honey is amazing and no germs are said to be able to live in it. I like it much for the sore throat of a soming cold or flu.
If you look around you will see a weed that grows in colonies that is called jewelweed. Bruise and get the juice of that plant and it negates the poison of poison ivy. Will try the honey though on the skin irritation that can crop up in our hot weather.
Thanks for sharing this today.

hey! I learned something! I'd never heard of the jewelweed before. I've never had poison ivy, but my son did last year right before Prom. He got it running around in the woods after dark with the members of his senior class.

That is an interesting one. My oldest daughter's face for some strange reason has been breaking out again after all these years and she cant seem to get it under control. she is ready to go to the dermatologist soon. I will tell her this so she can try it.

Mine breaks out occasionally...especially if I'm stressed. I hadn't thought about trying it for acne. Hmm...you've given me an idea! lol
