Best Beach in Miami?

Does anyone have a favorite beach in the Miami area? It seems to me that whenever we go it is always very windy and wavy. I would also like to know about any beaches with wavebreakers, especially in the North Miami/Hollywood/Fort Lauderdale area. Thank you so much in advance from a real Beach Mom
