How often do you lie to your partner and for what reasons ? Do you think you can live without ever lying to your partner . Can not lying create any problems ? If , yes then what kind of problems ?

Over 25 years of married life has thought me to tell a lie and then ease in the truth ever so gently, sometime tactfully to my wife, but as a matter of principle I generally don't lie to my wife, at least not intentionally, I might evade the truth, but I try and avoid lying to her.

do you think that an intentional ommission of the truth is a lie?

yea, I agree, I dont agree with the dont ask dont tell rule that some people have for relationships. I agree in open communication, trust and honesty. Otherwise, what kind of relationship is it?

I really think that an intentional ommission of truth would definitely qualify as a lie . Its more of an unsaid lie !

I dont lie to my guy, not lying doesnt create problems, if there is something to lie about then there is already a problem. You shouldnt do anything that you think you should lie to your partner about...that is just my opinion.

yes at any cost, because if your relastionship is strong it should be able to handle anything, but lies do end up coming out in some way or another, and it is best to be honest, as trust is a hug factor in a relationship, and to be honest, if you did something wrong that you have to lie about, then you didnt care enough about the relationship to not do it, then why do you care so much about preserving it now?
