I love this show but why does it have to glorify adultery???

It seems like so many shows now glorify cheating on your spouse. They always want us to root for the mistress etc. I feel like that is what grey's s doing with the George and Izzy story line. I love him with Callie...and I hate that they did this to her. What can't anyone be happily married on tv anymore...or get a divorce instead of cheat!!

I think most people know the difference between tv and real life otherwise eveyone would hate izzy as a person. I think that the merideth and Derek thing glorifies adultry more than the cali george thing cause george knows he made a big mistake who would want Izzy when you have Cali anyway. I do have to say that I don't think the show would be as fun to watch without the drama. This is why I hope without hope that christina and preston stay together.

I too have to say that I don't think it glorifies cheating. If anything, it shows the consequences. Addison lost her husband because she had an affair. It was ugly and it was messy and she suffered for it. George and Izzy will also suffer. Guilt, shame and possibly the end of the friendship.

I kind of agree with courtjohn and designdeva, I mean the show seems to glorify adultery b/c everyone seems to be cheating at some point or another. At the same time though i agree with the other lady, i think izzy and george both seemed to be truely hurt over what happened and ashamed. it didn't seem to be something that either of them really wanted to happen but it did and instead of just automatically acting like everything was ok they did both seem to be torn up over what they did. I took Izzy at the end of the episode being more angry at herself for possibly messing up a great friendship and ruining his marriage rather than she was hurt b/c she gave part of herself, she was drunk she didn't know what she was doing and neither did George.
