Does anybody dumpster dive?

im curious does anybody dumpster dive? if so, do you have some sort of system or places you go to find a lot of good stuff? My best finds would have to be a big screen tv, a professional mixer, end tables, and speakers all of these were in great condition. has anybody made a hobby out of this?

I never have, but a former co-worker of mine would on a regular basis. She was a fanatic about it. One day I was joking with her and she said that she made great money off of it...I kinda laughed it off so she wrote down her ebay user id, I looked up her items..I was in SHOCK!!! One of the items that I was teasing her about was selling for over $200.00, I guess it was some sort of antique. Never once did I pick at her again.

Not me, but a co-worker used to dumpster dive. He got some great stuff like a vacuum cleaner and a brand new typewriter. People used to tease him about it, but he got some great stuff. He even furnished some of his office with his finds.
