Most kids don't want to call stepmom 'Mom' or Stepdad 'Dad' - so what do they call them?

Not sure if this is really unique, my sister always called my dad by his first name. I called her mom, mom. I've actually heard where of one stepdad trying to get the kids to call him Mr.and his last name. I don't think I ever could've done that.

Here in the Philippines they may be called "Tita or Tito" which means aunt or uncle. It is a form of respect to elders even you don't have relationship with them.
