14 weeks pregnant with #5 and LAST baby. Any chance of a girl or does it seem hopeless? I find out the gender April 28. Just a brief history, my oldest two boys are from my first husband and the youngest and the one i'm pregnant with are with my husband now. Hubby has a boy and girl from previous marriage.

It is possible that you are having a girl. I have a friend who has 4 girls and finally had a boy:) Good luck to you!

Sounds like you want a girl. Well, gender is established by the male. Since he has sired a m/f already, lets hope it will be a f this time. Good luck dear.

Oh I think that there is always hope! My neighbor was in the same boat, and I almost feel bad telling you, she just found out that her fifth is also a boy. But each case is different. I wish you luck!!

I would say you have a chance, but don´t start knitting pink booties yet! I admire you for going through 5 pregnancies, I could never survive! I´m actually pregnant (35 weeks) for the fifth time, but my first three were lost early on. So, hang in there and let us know how the ultrasound goes!

Gender is determined by the man, so since DH already has a daughter, I would say there is still hope. (Although my DH's uncle had 8 girls!! Can you imagine!). Do you feel different this time? I am pregnant with a girl this time and feel way different that when I was pg with my son. I feel way better and was no where near as sick. Good luck and keep me posted!

I felt different with my last pregnancy & have 3 girls so that does not count for much. You can feel different as you get older.

There was a woman at my son's preschool that was pregnant for her fifth and last and had 4 boys. Her fifth was a girl. Seeing as how your husband has a daugther I think there is definitely hope.

My mother in law had a total of 5 children. She had 4 boys and then she finally had her girl after she had the boys. So it could happen. Don't worry, you still have a small chance of having a girl. :)

Well, from what I understand, it's pretty much just luck of the draw, although apparently there are certain days of conception that are more...I guess receptive is the word I'm looking for here...to one gender or the other. For example, my child is a boy; he was conceived on the day of my estimated ovulation, which is apparently the best day to conceive a male. The day or two following that day increases the likelihood of a male as well, while the two days prior to estimated ovulation favor a female. At least that's what I gathered from checking a conception website. I don't remember the name of the site, but it took the day of last period and approximate number of days in your cycle to give you an estimate of your ovulation for the next 6 months. Well, my husband wanted a boy, so we tried for the estimated day and it worked. It's not set in stone, of course. If there's any way you know approximately when you conceived and the start day of your last period, you may be able to get a better idea of what's more likely.

Hi 4cuteboys, my aunt has 4 girls and has been trying to get a boy. I think that is you are active, driven and on the go, the chances of getting a boy is higher. Then again, i do not have the ultrasound machine with me *wink* I have 2 boys of my own now aged 3 and 5 years. I think they are a blessing. I wish you all the best now that you are in your 2nd trimester. Way to go mommy!! - Lyn

I'd say there is a chance you could have a girl. My MIL has 2 boys and 1 girl. My husband is hoping for us to have a girl...we have 2 boys already. One of my aunts had 1 girl and 3 boys, another aunt of mine had 3 girls and 1 boy, both from first marriages. So it really could go either way.

I definitely think that you have a chance of having a girl, because like a previous poster stated, gender is determined by the sperm and you r husband has has a daughter before- ~~~pink baby dust your way~~~ -)

I hope you get your girl. I went through similar but opposite, but have cousin went through same as you. She finally got her girl on her 5th, and I got my boy on my 5th. So, you just never know. DNA is truly amazing.
