If you can find someone who is of like mind and spirit, with similar goals for the future - marriage makes sense. To do it because it is expected of you, or traditional or because you dread being alone is asking for hardship. Marriage is a karmic challenge. It is an opportunity to look into the face of your chosen mate as though you were looking into a mirror and saying "This is me, this is my choice, this is my lesson." Because the ultimate responsibility and accountability rests with you alone, the decision of when and whom to marry should lie with you, your soul and your conscience. To me the statement of marriage is simply that I pledge to unite my energy with yours, and we will face this life together. Unfortunately, many couples end up using their energies against one another because the soul will rebel if it is threatened with oblivion and disrespect. Choose wisely and choose well, when considering marriage. Choose with respect to your own spirit and karma. It is not necessary to marry. It is necessary to find peace.
