So you want to be friends? Tell me why so we can be friends.

I have said in several discussions that I patronize my friend's discussions. I have received a lot of requests from people who have discussions that I have not replied nor have they replied to mine. Because of this I am going to start deleting them. They are cluttering up the "discussions my friends started" section and making it harder for me to find discussions from people who help me. I like to help my friends. If you want to be friends, then lets do that. Please explain why you would like to be friends. If any of you were on my friends list and deleted don't be offended. It is because you never replied to any of my discussions.

First I chose you to be my 1000th post. We have been friends for a few weeks. I like that you take time with your replys. I can count on you for good thoughts and knowledge

I have very few friends here on mylot. And i want to keep pecking in post after post on my friends instead of surfing for specific posts.I find lot of crap posts that i don't wanta comment on.And i ask requests for friends only if i find their posts sensible and suit my interests.Although there are other members who ask requests to be my friend.I haven't denied any requests so far but that doesn't mean i set the 'notify on' for all.I tend to be selective.Your 'new post notification' is also one that is set on,on my friends list.So keep posting.

I think it is necessary to have a "friends" cull from time to time. It's no good having loads of people on your list that don't ever write anything you're interested in or who don't ever respond to your discussions. If you have hundreds it's impossible to keep in touch with what everyone is doing. I have about thirty odd so far and I have deleted a few. I don't think I'll have more than 100. By doing this I hope to have a more productive relationship with those friends I do have - quality rather than quantity.

I not sure if you are refering to me or not, but I respond to those discussions that I can, If it is a topic I don't know anything about, then I don't respond. That would waste your time and mine as well. I'm ok with whatever you decide to do...:}..I know what you mean about trying to support your friends discussions too, the list can be overwhelming at times.

It isn't you. LOL You are great. There are some who start what seems like 50 or more discussions a day. Things like do you like ice cream? Which is better Friday or Saturday. Those 2 examples are more creative than the discussion they start.
