Do you ever wake up feeling like you haven't slept? Or worse, wake up feelings like you were in a fight? I do almost on a daily basis. When I do finally sleep, I'm out for a good 10 hours and still wake feeling exhausted. What's the remedy?

i have the same problem, and if i was doing some kind of activity in the dream. When i wake up that spot hurts. I have tried numerous sleeping aids and even depression pills and i for some reason have begun to hate night. I am always so tired in the morning and throughout the day,but at night i wake up wide awake.

We're in the same boat. Do you have fibro as well? It seems like with fibro and CFS, sleeping patterns are all out of whack and you can't reach that deep level of sleep. Have you seen a doctor?

I almost always wake up feeling like I haven't slept...at all. I have no idea what to tell you. My problem is fibromyalgia...and there is no cure, we can only treat the symptoms and try to make them better.

I have fibro too but I think that there has to be a way to get the restorative sleep that we need. I've pretty much had enough! What do you think about prescription sleeping medication?

The reason you wake up feeling exhausted is because you are not getting into Stage IV restorative sleep. Even sleep medication cannot get you into that deep sleep that we all need to heal, repair and re-energize. I take a sleeping medication that helps me to sleep through the night, but I am still tired all the time. I don't know whether there is any solution to getting into deep sleep. We just have to get all the rest we can.

I am seriously considering prescription sleeping medication. But I have three children and I don't want to wake up feeling worse than I already do. The side effects concern me. Maybe one of these days I'll just fall over and finally get the sleep I need!

Oh I've had times like that. I hate it. I go to bed and wake up feeling more tired then when I went. Thankfully that hasn't been happening the last few weeks but I've had my share of those times. It drives me nuts. No matter how much sleep I get I feel more tired and if I don't sleep I'm still exhausted. It seems to go in cycles though with it. I'll have a few weeks like that and then I'll be back to normal for a while. While it's happening though I just try to function as best I can.

I see I have a typo in my title. oops! Someone is going to think I'm talking about car tires! haha! Guess I AM tired! This has been going on for eight months and I hate it! I'm exhausted! I heard you recently spent a week in the hospital. I tried to post but the page kept freezing. I think it's the dial-up. I hope you're feeling better! It's good to have you back!

This doesn't sound very good at all. Your system sounds to be terribly out of whack. To wake up feeling like that means you're over sleeping. I'd consult my GP if I were you. I get about 6 hours good sleep a night at the moment (mostly) then I need a power nap in the afternoon.

My system is way out of whack! I have fibromyalgia and a few other things, but I think if I could get my sleep back where it should be then the rest would ease up too. I finally slept last night. I think I just finally passed out from exhaustion. But I feel so much better today. Now let's see if can can sleep tonight!
