Where do you get referrals?

Is there any sites you would recommend to get referrals? is it worth it pay for them? I am a member of quite a few sites but i only have like 4 people total underneath me. I would definately be willing to swap links with somebody, if anybody is a member of a site that i am not if its free i will join i will recommend some to you as well.

I get most of my referrals from traffic exchanges which are all free to join. If you take a look at my website you will see a list of traffic exchanges which I use. If you join these and then add your sites to them, other people will see them and you should get some referrals, I have been very successful using this method so why not give it a try. http://julie-moneymakingsites.blogspot.com
