How often do you express your love to your family?

I feel sort of bad because I don't get to express my love to my family that much because I feel really shy in saying ILOVEYOUs and giving them hugs and kisses. What I only do to show my love is to make them laugh with my jokes, immitations of cartoon characters and funny gestures. But I feel that it's not enough. What I really want to do is tell them that I love them and give them hugs and kisses. Unfortunately, I don't have the guts to do that because I'm afraid they might ridicule me or ask if I have a fever or something since I don't normally do that. What should I do? I've heard about those who say that you should do what you have to do for your loved ones because in time they'll be gone... I don't want that to happen..

I'm happy to know that you shower your husband and kids with love... But how come you don't care about your other family? The one who raised you? Aren't they important, too? Sorry if I'm asking.. :(

As a child, I dont ever remember my parents cuddling me or telling me that they loved me. My dad does now though. I express my love to my children everyday. They get hugs and kisses quite often throughout the day. I tell them I love them heaps during the day too. I love embarrasing them on the phone by saying I love you just before hanging up. I love to tell them to say it too me. They dont always, just depends who they are around at the time.
