Oprah, A Good Role Model or NOT?

Yes I do think Oprah is a good role model because of what she was in the past and now what she made of herself.This definitely gives a lot of confidence in people who are struggling in any given aspect of their life.In fact I would like to say that she is practical example of what humans can do with themselves. I would also like to add that she is not perfect but who is? But at least she has not succumbed to the negativity around and within herself.She challenged her own destiny and thats what makes her what she is!!!

she's an ordinary being off the record. She makes mistakes and gets defensive sometimes. There were some bad publicity on her which cast her in a different light. I don't have anything against her. She's just not my favorite. What she does is wholesome, funny and sometimes a little bit offensive. I hardly ever watch her show and if I did, I don't feel happy about it. There's something boring and heavy in Oprah. I prefer Rachel Ray. She's young, vivacious and funny in a pleasant manner.

She goes to extremes in some discussions, goes with what people say and don't check the reality of the issue. And her chats have now become more celeb based which I dont like, before it was much more infomration based than mere gossips.

I think she is a good role model.If i had just as much money as she has i would do the same thing.Visit africa to help the people give things away to people who need it.Oprah is one of the greatest person in the wolrd.

I think Oprah is a good role model. Its not a hidden fact that she rose from rags to riches because of her determination and perseverance. And though she's famous and wealthy now,she remained to be humble and still helps the poor. I think she's God fearing too.

I have been watching Oprah's show since 1996. There're so much to learn in her talk show. I believe she's a good role model to other people. In her talk show, she helped through people who face the tremendous stress in life, help family reconcile with one another, even criminal cases that she stand with the victims and the criminals were undergone due process of law.Not only that, she gave tips on how to be look good at your age, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s and above. There're so many things we can learn from her show and known all over the world. May be she has shortcomings or her dark side, but with her show if you ask me to rate her, I rate her more thatn 95%. I hope you guys agree with me.

I believe she is a positive role model for all human beings; It isn't easy for an African American woman to come up and do the things she has done; Not impossible, but darn sure not easy; Her book clubs, her Harpo Studios; her movies, her foundation that carries her name are all good things that are done for the good of the people. You even may have some African Americans that feel she don't do enough for her own, but this is her thing; her projects, her money;
