I have had nightmares in the past that almost killed me. I felt so awake and I was shouting for help but no one hears me. I tried so hard to move my my body, toes and fingers but to no avail. One time, in one of nightmares, I even cried thinking I was too young to die and my daughter's just a week old. I just knew it can't happen. I started to call on God for help and prayed the Apostle's Creed. Believe it or not, but right after going through the prayer twice, I got out of whatever hell I've been. It just proves how faith sees us through.

I know I've been saved many many times by prayer. There have been a couple times I can't talk about here but one of the most recent times sounds silly but had to do with the basement of my house. I've all my life been afraid of basements and when I moved into this house the only thing I didn't like was the cold, damp, musty Michigan basement (stone walls and dirt floor). For several months I couldn't go in the basement which meant going to the laundry mat because the washer and drier are in the basement. One evening my small group from church met at my house and the pastor a good friend of mine during prayers prayed for me and the basement. The next day I started being able to go down in the basement, I'm still a little leary and often pray before I go down the steps but I do it.
