Guys n Girls, lets list some of must have software for windows, let me start first:
1. KlmCodec, this for playing any kind video type file, like .avi, .dat, .wmv, etc. you can get this from www.9down.com. find the megacodec pack ones..
2. Winamp, well you know this music player for mp3, midi, n other audio type... yes find it on www.9down.com too.
3. Flashget182, this is the fastest download manager n its free, you can find this on www.9down.com too.
4. Mozilla Firefox, most fast n secure internet browser with lots of extension. www.mozilla.com
5. Miranda Portable, this is an messenger service for YM, AIM, ICQ, irc, etc. try http://portableapps.com/
6. AcdSee 3.1. this is the most convenient picture browser. try google it..
7. Kasperksy personal antivirus. anti adware, malware. you can find it on www.kaspersky.com

Well instead of downloading two programs for video and audio files you could just download VLC player, it has supported every file type i have ever had on my pc and its 100% free and safe.
I dont see the point in a download manager so i will pass on that one. Also a piece of software that connects to all those instant messaging services just sounds like an excuse for a trojan or something to me.
Kapersky is good though, i dont use it but its highly rated by many people who do use it.
