You know what, I don't review my notes before an exam, because in my opinion, it's better to listen to your teacher's lectures. For me, no matter what is your reading habits, the important thing is to be wise on reading and also in your time management.

I'm one of those that are too lazy to do review all of the past lesson.. I always fall to sleep! Usually I just rely on my stored knowledge whenever theres an exam coming or sometimes I just do a short review before exam and it will be gone after five hours .. that is my short term memory I use. Well it all works for me.. I already graduated!

If you can get hold of past papers that's often the best way to revise in a hurry - get a few years worth and see what topics come up repeatedly and make sure you focus on those areas. If you can't get past papers rush to the nearest bookshop and buy a study guide for the test, yes it costs money but it will focus on only the essentials so you know everything you read is potentially useful ; Also make sure you write down what you're learning - spider charts/bullet points/whatever you prefer but make sure you have something on paper (or computer); if you just read it and don't make any notes you'll find it much harder to recall.

during my university years, i'm doing this last minute studies all the times. it is because i found out that most exams in university (at my time) is memory based - you need to remember the facts. last minute studies is the solution for those who have short memories :) i might not passed my university with flying colours (but i do get decent grades) but want can i share with all of you fellow students, last minute studies does prepares you for the actual working environment. i've managed to get a job as a programmer after university and most of the time, i managed to cope with daily job of meeting dateline, working last at night, facing 'difficult' client due to mental strength i've developed by doing last minute studies.

I always do last minute studies and it works for me! I prefer to review 30 mins. bef0re the exam because it is easy for me to memorize and understand the things im reading when I cram. well, I don't know why i'm like that but I think that's a bad habit that I should change.

well of course i prefer last minute studies. it's mainly because i have a low memory and that i will forget what ever i have read in advance.(lol).. anyway even if am given ample time before exams, i will surely waste it in day dreaming and sleeping. also i will be cool thinking that there are more days for the exam, so have fun till that.. :)

I prefer pre-planned studying because it works for me. last minute reading and cramming also works for me because I do well under pressure, but still I prefer to have all the time in my hands to be prepared with the exam. Studying all night do create wonder. haha.. :))

I believe in both. I have a plan and i stick to that plan. I normally do a lot of reading during the year. But I also study at the last minute, just some revisions. Studies have shown that last minute revisions help up your grades, so why not to do it?
