How much does it cost in U.S college?

I was admitted to a US college this year but will not be attending coz of the costs, 20,000 dollars a year 4 4 years. That can take me thru a degree, masters and Phd here, eventually getting a scholarship to study there. Thing is, its btn 10,000-40,000 dollars, depending on the institution and whether they offer financial assistance. And if u want to apply, its a long process so the earkier u begin, the better.
