Do you think that if a first marriage fails, there is more pressure on a second marriage and is that second marriage more likely to fail?

No, I don't think so at all. I am in my second marriage now (just got married last month) and I firmly believe that this time, I've got it right :) I learned a lot about myself, about marriage and commitment during my first marriage, and honestly, if anything - I think there's more pressure on the FIRST marriage, than the second.

Congratulations - Maybe you are right about the pressure on the first and learning from experience.

You could look at it like that, or you could look at it like, with the experience gained from the first marriage, you arent likely to make those same mistakes again. Mind can conquer a lot. Just having an optimistic view point can help the situation tremendously. I think second marriages people have more experience, and maybe more patience than the first, I guess possibly it could put on more pressure about not being divorced again, but wouldnt this make you try harder?
