forgot to give my daughter her b-day presents

i have to share this funny story. last year when my daughter turned 3 we left to go to a zoo first thing in the morning. we were there all day. we got home in the evening and then had cake with the neighbours and they gave her presents to open. right after that it was time for a quick bath and them bed. after i tucked her in and closed the door i was thinking something was missing. i forgot to give her the present i bought her. even after seeing her open presents from the neighbour i still didn't think of it. anyway i had to go back to get her out of bed to give her her present.
have you ever forgotten something so silly like this before?

That's funny! Thanks for sharing! I can't recall doing anything like that with my little guy, yet, but his third birthday is coming up at the end of this month... lol.

Lol. That is quite funny. Did she realise that she hadn't received it either? Was she wondering all day where are present was?
I don't think I have done anything that silly before but often I do this silly thing of "Oh where did I put that pen?" and it's in my hand. I also do it for keys, money, glasses, pretty much anything.

no she didn't realize there was no present either. i think we were so busy at the zoo all day we kind of both didn't realize it and we were so tired when we got home we were just thinking of cake and bed.
i also do that with my pen, i run around the house looking for it then i realize it's in my hair. ( i put in in my pony tail to hold it sometimes so i don't lose it. lol)

That is really funny...I don't think I have ever forgotten anything like that, I always forget to get cahdles for birthday parties though. For my daughters first birthday we had it at McDonald's and I didn't have a candle, so we asked the girl helping with the party (that worked there) if they had any, so she went to look for one. Of course she couldn't find one. Well, my mom started looking around and saw one on the floor under the table (it was in the birthday area)...so we used the one off the floor!!! How icky is that?? I can't believe we actually used it =)

Yes I do all the time. I almost forget Easter every year! Kids talk about it. We plan the easter egg hunt. I forget to buy them baskets. :( I am sooo awful.
