Isn't gelato great?! What is your favorite kind?? I love the kind from http://www.gelatoroma.com/ the best. I even went to Rome and Florence, Italy, and I liked their gelato better at gelato roma! I don't even know why, but it's just my favorite. I haven't tried any other types though, besides the authentic kind in Italy. What are your favorite brands/types of gelato? Why do you love it?

Nothing compares to the gelato they serve in Italy...it's delicious. I've had gelato at Whole Foods and it's pretty good. I love mango or hazelnut flavors.

I don't know, the kind I had in Italy just tasted like regular ice cream! Maybe I didn't go to the right places, I only tried a few. I was so full from all of the pastries! :) Hazelnut? That sounds really good, I'll have to try that some time!

Gelato has such great flavours with different types. I like the fruitty ones and sometimes ones with nuts. Feel like having one...

The gelato in Italy is hard to beat, although they seem to be less "adventurous" with their flavors than makers here in the US. Could also be that we call things here "gelato" that an Italian would wrinkle their nose at. Of course, it has been more than 10 years since I last went to Italy, so maybe things have changed... My favorite flavor came from a small coffee shop when I was living in Austin, TX-- it was simply called "Hawaiian." It had mango, pineapple and tangerine... and was really, really good, especially during those long hot summers.

I love gelato as well. My favourite's the plain yoghurt flavour. There's a very mild sour taste to it and it isn't too sweet. Plus it's thick rich and ultra creamy which is a bonus. I also enjoy ginger and tiramisu flavours. Sometimes there's green tea and I once tasted honey and camomile flavour which was excellent too. It's a great treat on a warm day.
