What's for dinner tonight?

I laid out hamburger meat to make some hamburger helper tonight. Well, it didn't thaw out so now I've got to figure out what else that I can cook quickly. I'm so tired of chicken so I know I don't want that again tonight. So what are you making at your house tonight?

My mom used to do this quite often and it goes even faster if you put the lid on for bits at a time and then break up and re-cover etc.

I just prefer for it to already be thawed out before I start to cook with it. I'm funny with my meats. I know I'm crazy!!

No, you're not crazy. My mom feels the same way about defrosting meat.

Why should that stop you? Just heat the meat in a frying pan and cover...turning over every now and then and you'll get that meat browned in no time. I don't blame you for not wanting to eat the same thing over and over and over again.

I'd rather it be all thawed out. I don't like sticking it in frozen like that.

Hamburger thaws out in the microwave in about 3-4 minutes. I have often done this! I thought I would send you this tip for next time :) Hope you had a great dinner tonight...Me, I worked until 7pm so my husband looked after dinner. :)

I know you can put it in there but I just can't make myself do it. I just have in my mind that it will make it go bad or it will taste funny. I know it probably won't but I just can't do it. I know that sounds crazy!! My dad says it won't make it go bad cause he does it too but....

We are having cubed steaks covered with mushroom gravy, green beans, potatoes, and grilled chicken for the kids. I may fix another vegetable too but I am not sure of what it will be.

We are having Rotini pasta, prego traditional sauce, and pepperidge farm garlic and mozzarella bread. I hate thinking about dinner, reading this reminds me I need to actually start the dinner soon! Good luck with dinner! We have that same problem all the time, or I totally forget to take out the meat altogether.

Well, I'm low on groceries, so tonight it is Stouffer's macaroni and cheese. I almost always eat diet frozen dinners like Lean Cusine. However, I picked this up at Walgreen's and they didn't have a big selection. To my utter surprise, it is the best macaroni and cheese I have tasted! It's even better than Kraft, which is saying something. And of course, to top off the mac and cheese, will be a big bottle of ice cold water. Ooo-la-la!
