El Chupacabra is a mysterious beast from Puerto Rican folklore. The name translates to 'goat sucker' in Spanish, so called because of the way it all the blood from goats and other livestock, as well as household pets. It is said to have grey or green skin, fangs, red or black beady eyes, and spinal quills. It is bipedal at a height of around four to five feet, and has the ability to fly. El Chupacabra sightings originated in Puerto Rico in the township of CanĂ³vanas, followed by numerous sightings in the United States and Mexico. Since then, the Chupacabras has been blamed in the deaths of over 2000 animals ranging from other livestock to household pets. However, human attacks have yet to be reported. What do you think ? Do you believe there is such a creature? Have you ever seen El Chupacabra? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chupacabra

I've seen special shows about this animal or beast and I do believe they exist. Who can really prove otherwise? They are very scary looking creatures. I think they may somehow be related to bats, but without wings. They seem to only come out at night.

Once, when I was driving on a back road in Spokane, Washington, I saw these two red eyes about 5 feet off the ground just drop to the ground and dissapear. At the time I thought it was odd but didn't give it a lot of thought other than that there was no way I was going to get out of my car! A few years later, I saw a story about your spoiney friend here and I instantly thought of that night. I still have no idea what that was and since Chupacabra is not suppose to be in this part of the world, I am assuming that is was not that, but then -- who really knows? I believe in Sasquatch so it really isn't that far a stretch to believe in thins thing, too!

Well there have been sightings in Maine and a few in Texas so I guess it's possible. I it was something else you saw..lol We've had big black dog sightings where I am. And it was reported by police that they were as big as ponies with glowing red eyes...maybe that's what it was.
