What are your thoughts of marriage? Do you think it is a waste of time and money or do you belive that it stands for something more then just being with someone? . I think that it is a waste of time and money because it is just a peice of paper and a ring. I dont belive that you need to go thro all of that just to spend the rest of your life with someone. What are your thoughts on this?

i think it is am important part of life. at least for me, it was very meaningful. i knew that this meant that he was really committed to me. he also didnt see the importance of it. he saw it like just a peiece of paper and a ring, but i saw that it meant that he really meant to stay with me. he had wanted to start a family, but i didnt want to unless i knew that he was going to stay with me through thick and thin, or at least give it his best. i have seen too many couples who start a family, and then find it so easy to break the family apart. it isnt fair for the kids. i think it would be so much easier to walk away from a relationship if there werent vows and a ring to symbolize the committment. this isnt necessarily true for everyone though. it takes committment from both partners. even if the couple doesnt want to "waste" money on the wedding, there is always Vegas! its the meaning behind it, not the celbration.

If you are referring to the marriage ceremony or marriage licence, you may be right at thinking it is a waste of time. But if you think of it as giving joy of experience to both your wife and children to see in the future, with memories of it mounted in your wedding pictures and smiles, then the ceremony may be worth more than you think. the license also as part of the social acceptance and security of claims for your wife and children then again it may be worth more than you think. That is in my opinion. Have a great day

Marriage is when two people love each other and want to spend the rest of their lives with each other . It is a way to commit to one anohter . I have to say although it does cost a lot , I don't consider it a big waste of money as many woman have dreamed of this their whole lives and deserve there special day just for them and their spouses to be .

There are things that make me believe that a marriage is a waste of money becuase we see a lot of people getting married and about a year after that they are divorced or seperated. Even on reality shows like "The Bachelor" and things like that i know that a producer puts a lot of money in to make a show like that but why would someone want to put their feelings on the line and have someone from a casting show pick out who is a potential soulmate for you other than money. So marriage kinda is a waste of money and people are more likely to stay together is you are not married. But people do get married anyways and you never know what's going to happen in the future and there would be no way to find out what will happen in your life when you're married until you're married.
