I think it made a postive impact on education cause the children from low-income families wouldn't of been able to get the help they need to become better/smarter students. My daughter needed speech therapy when she was 3yrs old cause even I couldn't understand a word she was saying and it was frustrating for both us and our daughter to communicate. Thanks to the NCLB, our daughter was able to get the help she needed b4 she started in kindergarden so the teachers could understand her. Had she not gotten the help, she would of been way behind in school cause of her problem. My parents had to pay alot for me to get the help I needed cause I had the same problem when I was her age. Just glad they were/are well off and could afford to have me meet with a speech therapist 3x a week for 2 yrs. or I prolly wouldn't be typing right now, let alone working since noone could understand me either.

I am happy to hear that it has happened to someone I know. So many programs are disgused as something else. Like the lottery helping educational programs (what a good question to ask) I still hear about how they are struggling to get books and grants for different programs.
