Can you recall what did you buy with your first paycheck? I remember mine very well, I gave half of it to my mother and the other half I spend buying presents for my grandmother and my brothers and sisters. I also brought a bottle of drinks and some finger food for me and my cousins to celebrate. But I also saved 500 bucks for remembrance of my first paycheck and put it in my bank.

It was a long time ago but I seem to remember that I used most of it to pay my debts. :-)
I'd been out of work for a few months with no income, and was living off savings.
As I'd just bought my wife her engagement ring, I was a little more in hock than usual!

Yes, I used some of mine to pay some debts, too. When we live apart from our parents, we always start with debts before getting hold of our first paycheck.

From memory, I put half of it in my dance company's annual fund, and the other half I used to pay off my credit card debts.

When I had my first full time job, I was living far from my family already. When I received my first pay envelope, I used the amount to pay for my house rental, buy food and pay the company canteen. Then I had to budget the remaining amount to see me through until the next payday.

i still have the copy of my payslip for my first paycheck. i hid it somewhere along with my other memorabilia on my first firsts :) what i did with mine was i bought a new watch. the watch costs something NT$3,500. i still have it now and it still looks new :) i really valued my first paycheck because it was the first time i really worked for something. it was april 28, 2002 and i was already 25 then and yet it was still my first real job... my previous ones where more on volunteer work so i don't really get paid for it.

I think I've saved it...then spent it all when I went out with friends. LOL. ;)
